Please read these in order before you apply
Overview
"Local Good awards a limited number of $200 micro-grants to Philadelphians aged 18 and older. Please note: Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee that you will receive a grant.".
We want to help you with whatever it is that you may need: do you need us to pay your cellphone bill for one month? Need to pay for a doctor’s appointment? Does your car need an emergency repair? Unfortunately Local Good is not able to pay for your credit card or loans.
Requirements

You must live in the City of Philadelphia.

You must be 18 years or older.

Our grants are for any amount but we have a maximum ask of $200.

You may apply at most once per year.
Things We Do Not Fund
Unfortunately Local Good is not able to pay for your credit card or loans.
Payments
If accepted, we strongly prefer to pay directly to who you owe your money to (eg. your mechanic, Verizon, etc.)
Timeline
Local Good grants are awarded on a rolling first-come-first-serve basis. Our Giving Partners get to vote on the application that they deem most worthy. The Local Good Board of Directors will review the vote totals at our regular scheduled board meetings and your application will be kept on file for one calendar year. You will receive an approval letter within 48 to 72 hours after the regularly scheduled board meeting with more details on the next steps. We regret that due to high demand we may not be able to reach out to you if your application was not chosen.

You will be placed into our applicant pool for one year. You have 12 chances to be selected for a grant (unless you remove yourself from our pool)
