At Local Good, we believe a little help can make a meaningful difference. An unexpected bill, a housing expense, or the cost of an essential service can put someone under financial stress. Our microgrants help people in our community address these needs and move forward. We provide assistance where we can, recognizing that even a small grant can ease a financial burden.
Our Impact in 2026
In 2026, Local Good helped three individuals pay past-due Philadelphia Gas Works bills to avoid service shutoffs. We also helped one person avoid eviction by paying off an agreement with their landlord.

Housing Support — 2024
A recent graduate needed help securing housing after deciding to live independently. Local Good provided financial assistance toward the cost of moving into a new apartment. “This grant helped me secure a new apartment by assisting with rent.”
Supporting Young Dancers — 2023
Local Good provided a family with $200 toward dance lessons. The support helped their daughter attend regional dance competitions, where she won first place.
